O God, from whom all good things come: Lead us by the inspiration of your Spirit to think those things which are right, and by your goodness help us do them; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

ANTIDISESTABLISHMENTARIANISM…

morphology-of-antidisestablishmentarianism1

I’m curious… what does this word mean???

antidisestablishmentarianism

the principles of those who oppose the with-drawal of the recognition or support of the state from an establishedchurch, usually used in referring to the Anglican church in the 19th century in England.

May I share with you the Holy Gospel written in the book of John found in the New Testament of our Holy Bible?

John 14:15-21

Jesus Promises Another Helper

15 “If you love Me, keep[a] My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

Indwelling of the Father and the Son

19 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

WE ALL WOULD LIKE SOME HELP IN LIFE…

It is awesome to receive this helper that the Lord promises… I THANK HIM EVERYDAY…  I notice God in all the small things I do… These small graceful acts, I know, are making a BIG impact in heaven… WHY ELSE AM I ALIVE???

I LOVE IT.

(now, let’s get your finances under control) 🙂

Sorry, you are receiving this a day late… My power went out… (why???)

MY WIFI WAS NOT WORKING THIS MORNING… BTW – I READ JONAH CHAPTER 4 …

Jonah 4

Jonah’s Anger at the Lord’s Compassion

But to Jonah this seemed very wrong, and he became angry. He prayed to the Lord, “Isn’t this what I said, Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. Now, Lord, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live.”

But the Lord replied, “Is it right for you to be angry?”

Jonah had gone out and sat down at a place east of the city. There he made himself a shelter, sat in its shade and waited to see what would happen to the city. Then the Lord God provided a leafy plant[a] and made it grow up over Jonah to give shade for his head to ease his discomfort, and Jonah was very happy about the plant. But at dawn the next day God provided a worm, which chewed the plant so that it withered. When the sun rose, God provided a scorching east wind, and the sun blazed on Jonah’s head so that he grew faint. He wanted to die, and said, “It would be better for me to die than to live.”

But God said to Jonah, “Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”

“It is,” he said. “And I’m so angry I wish I were dead.”

10 But the Lord said, “You have been concerned about this plant, though you did not tend it or make it grow. It sprang up overnight and died overnight. 11 And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left—and also many animals?”

LESSON I LEARNED WAS THAT THE LORD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS…

Thank you 5.17.2017

READING AT CHURCH SUNDAY AT 8 AM… (got those readings in the mail)

(PUSH for AUDIO)

TODAY I WENT DOOR KNOCKING… I NOTICED ONE HOUSE WITH 20 + c + m + b + 17 CHALKED ABOVE THEIR DOOR…

The letters C, M, B have two meanings:
• They are the initials of the traditional names of the three magi: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar.
• They also abbreviate the Latin words Christus mansionem benedicat, “May Christ bless the house.”

The “+” signs represent the cross and 2017 is the year.

Here’s a suggested format for the blessing:

All make the Sign of the Cross.

Leader: “Peace be to this house and to all who dwell here, in the name of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God.

You know… I am excited to read infront of the congregation tomorrow at my church in Hershey PA at 8:00… I would love to see you there to hear the scriptures in person and live… Yeah I am not going to post a live facebook post of it… sorry… 🙂 HOWEVER, Here is a sample…

1 Peter 3:13-22

Suffering for Right and Wrong

13 And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”[a] 15 But sanctify the Lord God[b] in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. 17 For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

Christ’s Suffering and Ours

18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us[c] to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited[d] in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. 21 There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.
