O God, you have prepared for those who love you joys beyond understanding. Pour into our hearts such love for you that, loving you above all things, we may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
FAITHFULLY REACH’n… (hear that knocking???)
Hey… I want to share with you some scriptures (readings) that are dictated to use for this week’s Sixth Sunday After Pentecost… These scriptures are used in a common lecture nary used by many divisions of Christianity… Since, this is my second year posting on this blog…
I WILL USE THE SCRIPTURES SUGGESTED TO USE IN YEAR 2 (b); EVENTHOUGH, MOST CHURCHS ARE ON YEAR 1…
I first want to share with you the suggested reading found in Lamentations…
22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!”
25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the soul who seeks Him.
26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly
For the salvation of the Lord.
27 It is good for a man to bear
The yoke in his youth.
28 Let him sit alone and keep silent,
Because God has laid it on him;
29 Let him put his mouth in the dust—
There may yet be hope.
30 Let him give his cheek to the one who strikes him,
And be full of reproach.
31 For the Lord will not cast off forever.
32 Though He causes grief,
Yet He will show compassion
According to the multitude of His mercies.
33 For He does not afflict willingly,
Nor grieve the children of men.
The Holy Gospel I am supposed to share is written in Matthew…
HOWEVER… I AM GOING TO FAITHFULLY REACH FOR MY BIBLE AND SHARE WITH YOU THE HOLY GOSPEL ACCORDING TO MARK…
25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in herbody that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’”
32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
THANK YOU GOD THAT I HAVE HEARD ABOUT JESUS…
(hear that knocking???)
